As for me I would not go that far to ride behind a diesel.

These are Tier 4? Perhaps they are thinking that a used smokey 3 ft. diesel or oil-fired steam would still get blamed for starting fires along the route.

Wasn't the Grand Canyon line's #4960 converted to oil? The terrain would seem somewhat similar. Any fires there attributed to the #4960?
