Many years ago when living in Fresno, there were some major rock slides that closed the 140 Yosemite entrance for a month or more, and for some reason 120 was closed also, so you could only get there on 41. Late winter, I think. Was amazing to run up to the Valley for the day, and park anyplace you wanted to, and walk wherever you wanted to with no crowds.

What *is* happening in Bishop, anyway? Did the museum make it through the fire a little while back that was threatening the place?
