It should be noted that the bill in its present form does not propose the construction of a trail south of Willits. The comment in the OP referring to Sonoma county should instead read Mendocino. All the arguments made by other posters still apply of course. In fact many of the arguments were also made by The Assembly Committee on Appropriations two days ago.
