Just build a lot more ferries. And they would leave 10-15 minuts apart, or whenever is needed to be practical so they do not all arrive at the very same time at the very same pier at the Ferry Building -- or another nearby pier.
And to make this work, SMART has to be truly smart, and extend their tracks all the way to the Larkspur ferry building, or whatever area passengers wait in before they board their ferry.
Yes, I do know that a good source of funding needs to be obtained to pay for these new ferries and their crews and those who will maintain and repair them. And, of course, the Coast Guard has a lot to say abot these things, as tney should.
SMART is not smart at all if they are really going to terminate their Larkspur Extension tracks a long 1/4 mile away from the ferry building (or wherever passengers wait to board).
Who makes passenger-only (no vehicles) ferries these days? Do the companies listed on this chart still design and manufacture ferries for the US market?

Do Philip F. Spaulding and Associates, Seattle, WA, and Advanced Multi-Hull Design, and International Catamaran Design, both in Australia, still dsign these catamaran ferries? And do Campbell Industries, San Diego, CA, and Dakota Creek Industries, Anacortes, WA, and Nichols Brothers Boat Builders, Freeland, WA, all still manufacture catamaran ferries?
Thanbks in advance for any replies!
