Ok, but Smart riders have a destination, San Francisco. Where do the people who work (are there people in Santa Cruz who work?), go to to work? If the traffic is on Hwy 17 to San Jose, then the rails go the wrong way, as going via rail by Watsonville to Gilroy to San Jose would take a hour to hour one half.

Has there ever been a study of where the working person go to work?
