Hey there,

Just a response to your asinine comment on TO regarding NIMBYs and the D&S narrow gauge.

So, the "416 fire" involved at least 34000, damaged 7 miles of road, damaged 30 miles of trail (with no hiker access to at least next year), injured or killed untold numbers of wildlife, forced 2200 homes to be evacuated, and cost MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to fight--and NIMBYs are the problem?

I previously though Jack the Dick fireman was the biggest horse's ass in the rail preservation community, but I was sorely mistaken. You have to take that cake.

I guess as long as your ilk gets to play with 1:1 scale trains, it doesn't matter how much inconvenience or cost is visited on the surrounding community.

Now go jump off one of the St. Louis rail bridges into the Mississippi. If you're concerned about trespassing, then head up to Chain of Rocks--it's a TRAIL!
