I'm pretty sure I rode this exact car! When I was maybe 6 years old, I was living near Berkeley. We had a train trip, I think to Davis and back. The eastbound trip was on a train with regular cars, but I think the return trip was on a Budd RDC. I was so sleepy by then that I don't recall much, but I have a hazy recollection of the sun coming in the window. SP only owned 1 RDC, and it ran on that route about 1956, so I conclude, I was on it.

Question: I suppose several Budd RDC's have survived, and probably one or more still operate, somewhere. Anyone know where? Or how to find out?
