Portland's West Side Express has four RDC cars. Two of them came by way of the Alaska Railroad and two from Dallas. WES tries to operate the Alaska RDC's every other week. The two Texas cars will be put into service sometime this fall. They will supplement the three Colorado Rail Car Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) This will enable WES to have at least two cars on each run which means that there will be one straight RDC runs each day.
