We had the same potential problem looming with the Geiger Spur project. Currently, Spokane County owns the existing spur and contracts with WRIX to deliver and switch the cars. With a Watco interchange at the new south connection, the BNSF made it very clear that whoever took over the spur (if it was a shortline operator working independently of a contract with the County) had better not create a division of revenue issue. The new operator of the CW might just add the Geiger work or WRIX's operation will get running rights to Cheney. How it's going to be packaged is still a question. A likely project on the Geiger spur should generate enough traffic to cause daily operations.
