I worked at OSH during the first years of college and I am very sad to see them close. I since located away from CA and we only have Home Depot and Lowes. I always liked the ability to go to OSH looking for some obscure part and inevitably, they had it. Home Depot or Lowes wont stock something unless it sells a lot of volume. OSH also made sure their employees were trained and knew something about the subject they worked with.(I went to a Home Depot and had to step in an correct some kid employee telling a customer that the green wire was hot, the white wire was ground and the black wire was common. He argued with me about it, so I turned to customer and told him connecting the wires that way was extremely dangerous.)

I very much enjoyed my few years working there. I am very sad to see it close, but I suppose I am not surprised. The writing was on the wall when Lowes bought them (really when Sears did years ago).
