The I-25 corridor seems like a very reasonable place for a multi-state sponsored service connecting at least from Fort Collins to Belen via Denver and Albuquerque. Cheyenne to El Paso would be nice, but possibly too many states. Several passenger trains a day over Raton would certainly justify the line's continuing maintenance. I assume this has been studied in recent past, but a quick googling came up with a CO-only study and a couple of HSR studies.
