Amtrak Food Service Whiners on TO

This is for all the belly aching, @#$%& whiners on TO who are constantly complaining about the food service situation on Amtrak, and are now comparing food service on Swiss trains to food service here (specifically mentioned the Capitol Limited and the Lake Shore Limited).
Have any of you actually looked at a map to compare the differences in distances that the Amtrak trains cover vs. Swiss passenger trains?
As the crow flies, the distance from extreme western Switzerland to the easternmost point (the notch at the Austrian border) is about 215 miles.
The Capitol Limited's route is roughly equal to the distance from Bern Switzerland to the toe of the Italian boot. The Lake Shore's route is just about the distance from Bern to Gibraltar. How can you idiots possibly consider those comparisons valid?
Very few passenger trains have EVER BROKE EVEN on food service, let alone turn a profit.
If Amtrak is so important to you, perhaps you should spend a little more time buying tickets to ensure that the long distance trains don't disappear altogether. If you're hungry, eat what they serve, or drive and eat at Cracker Barrel.
Some of you people are so myopic I'm surprised you don't spend half the day smashing your faces against closed doors...
