I believe you're missing the point.

Of course, NWP Co needs to be repaid for their loans to the NCRA.

The operating assumption among the staff working the bill is that "freight operations will cease once the NCRA is dissolved." The bill rewrite (just published) provides funds for
SMART to "buy out" NWP Co.

Are folks on this forum aware that freight service in the corridor -- even south of Windsor -- may come to an end because SMART doesn't want NWP Co to operate on their row?
