No pretending here. Much capacity has been added to both the NP and GN routes. Over $1 billion since 2013 in expansion projects. The only thing that runs the former GN side out of capacity now is the overtakes, most of which involve 7 and 8. The base load of freight trains can perform very consistently even when daily volume is 45+ trains per day so long as all of the sidings can be used for meets instead of parking trains so that Amtrak can pass.
