You ain't seen nothin' until you've seen the fare inspectors for the Berlin S-Bahn. Varying tactics: Sometimes they board the train and don't check the tickets of people getting off. Other times they don't board and only inspect the tickets of those getting off. They'll arrange themselves on the platform with up to 24 inspectors, one for each door of an eight-car train. Fare evaders don't know if it would be better to stay on board or get off the train.
