But seriously, I commuted daily to downtown Portland for 4 years on MAX. While I have no sympathy for fare evaders, I have little for the inspectors. They all seemed to have major chips on their shoulders, and seemed to delight in pulling evaders off trains. Even worse was the fact that both Multnomah and Washington County Sherrifs would board trains,and they were far worse.
