have from the get go. the security theater jerks gave them an excuse to close some of the underground stations, so the places where moreriders might have need are unavailable. For historical perspective, the original IRT subway (1904) in NY had bathrooms, as did the State St Subway in Chicago. Even in the late 69s a few bathrooms in the NYC system were still open.
