The two ex-Pacific Lumber GE 80-tonners we bought had large water tanks on the deck outside the rear engineer's door and front fireman's door which were connected to a 64-volt water pump which fed rail washers. If I remember they were around 345 gallons.
Not sure if they were for sand or whatever but we used one of them for a fuel tank on a GE 45-tonner we modified (SamTrak 4501) now somewhere in Nevada.
