Wow,
I didn't realize this forum was still around until someone told me I was being discussed. I'm glad it is. This place is the great grandaddy of all the rail-related fora online. Of course I'm a bad actor, I haven't had any theatrical training since I was in the high school play many years ago. They were cornball comedies too, which if you know me, explains a lot.
While I am amused that someone thinks that I'm the boogeyman, behind every conspiracy, I see a problem. A image of me as a villain is being built up to such high levels, I'm only bound to disappoint in real life. I'm just a man who has a regular job and likes railroad history. The only extraordinary thing is that I often question why I still like railroads, given the cesspool the hobby and preservation industry are.
It's true, RYPN banned me. Those are the same moderators John says are censoring him, so how right can they be in banning me in the first place? Bottom line, RYPN is a private forum, like this, and the moderators can act as arbitrary as they'd like.
As for writing styles, those can be copied. With me, I think you'd just use a lot of commas. True story, I once edited a rough draft of my Master's Thesis and cut three pages out of the whole thing by removing unnecessary commas.
Anyway, I guess it's nice to think I'm on people's minds, but I'm up to other things. By cutting online fora out of my life, I'm able to read 2-3 more books a week. I'm also presenting at the Utah State History Conference later this month, a presentation/paper about Utah's interurban railways. Come see it!
