As for UP, after all these years I'd expect most of the track in the Sac River Canyon to have concrete ties, so the cleanup process shouldn't have to deal with much burned stuff. Mainly, make sure the rails are still in line and the signals are working. Maps I saw in this morning's papers suggest that most fire activity has moved off to the west.
