LA Based Railcars, not cars owned by LA Rail. The cars that were sold are former California Zephyr railcars owned by California Zephyr Railcar Charters. Specifically, Silver Solarium, Silver Rapids, Silver Lariat and their former Texas Zephyr baggage car, Silver Peak.

Both groups had to severely reduce their activities due to the new Amtrak private car policies. The LA Rail group is still trying to run occasional LA/Seattle round trips, but much of their other business is no longer possible. Currently one of those trips is stuck in Seattle due to the fire.
