Well, they actually built a prototype (or proof of concept) carbody and used it. However, if I remember correctly, it was the customer who wanted bigger windows and doors…

It then was in the design phase that they realized that it would not work.

However, eventually, the result became quite good, and one of the best running 100% low-floor light rail vehicles (and one of the very few ones worldwide which does not screech in tight curves).
