EV performance is not the problem. I drove EV-1's and RAV4's back in the late 90's that had great performance. IIRC the EV-1 had better acceleration than any of GM's gasoline cars, even back then. Electric drive is great for acceleration. If you want to see performance, check out the new BMW electric cop cars.

Elon's problem is that his CFO and Accountant (just on the job over a month, and facing the first quarterly report on October 1....)are among the latest of most his senior management team at Tesla to resign. His antics and the failure of Tesla to "perform" has tanked the stock and its bonds are now "junk", and reports/rumors of suppliers reportedly having problems getting paid, are making even more investors and lenders even more skittish. fraud.

Oh, and by the way, Bloomberg reported this morning, that Elon is now under a Federal investigation for stock fraud.....
