This is the single biggest design flaw of the whole system. The upper elevation of the new station at Larkspur is perfect for a flyover crossing Sir Frances Drake rd. through the existing parking lot ending at the ferry terminal. Step off the train go down an escalator right onto the gang plank of the ferry.This would do more to boost ridership than any other improvement. There has been talk of a new ferry terminal at San Quentin if and when the prison is shut down and extending the track into the terminal.That may be decades away.The true value of SMART will not be realized until there is complete gridlock on the highways, that time will come sooner or later.
