I'd forgotten all about hate week, when we were under some kind of legal stay from walking out, and the company was able to do away with all the "union" agreement work rules. And so, we worked to the "rules" (SP Book of Rules), and did absolutely nothing without "direct" orders, that had the LA Terminal jammed, and much of the whole RR down to a snails pace, by the end of the first day.

That date is probably right, I do recall that it was hot as hell the two days I spent on picket duty.
