Reality check: GGT bus service has never been able to get beyond Santa Rosa.
AFAIk even River Rock casion gave up on their Sonoma Co. buses. The level of public transit use in the Northbay is disappointing.
What's necessary is a focus on magnet destinations, say for instance the big Kaiser Hospital and clinics in Santa Rosa, not on the SMART line. There is patronage potential here but SMART has to figure out how to connect. You need to move to light rail transit thinking and away from from 19th century fantasies of the iron horse showing up at the jerkwater station with the horses and carriages greeting the train steaming in.
