BNSF applies to Coast Guard for replacement Salmon Bay drawbridge (Seattle WA)

Not a whole lot of info, except that the process has started.

The current bridge is a Bascule (hinged at one end and opens by rotating the span semi-vertical). From the application wording, it appears that BNSF expects the new bridge to be a vertical draw style.
