Many years ago it was proposed to bring the Loop RR into Georgetown but there was a political uprising from the historic building preservationists that nixed it. They said vibrations from the RR would make all the old buildings fall down. So the RR right of way is now all built up and there's no chance of ever building into Georgetown.

The Argentine Central RR grade is still intact above Silver Plume, though...…
