Sorry Seth, took me a while. From TrainOrders one year ago:
SP 2467 is currently stored/on display at the California State Railroad Museum (inside). It is currently inoperable due to a damaged axle caused by a shifted axle box/brushing that occurred during a live low steam pressure ferry move on the Union Pacific. Additionally, it is out of boiler time. There are no immediate plans to restore her to operation, but dollars and labor could change that fairly quick. After restoration, the engine never really got used. (one trip to Sacramento, an ill fated tow that caused the damage, and some light duty at the GGRM site in Hunters's Point, San Francisco. Re-certify the boiler, fix the axle issue, freshen up the last restore, and it could be boiling water, yet again.) CSRM has a few miles of trackage, so it would be nice to see. The engine is on loan frm the PLA in Niles.
