RS Thanks for your inquiry and you are right..it was the very dusty squeezed in and poorly lighted Overfair locos...a staircase went up beside them.. and happily I think I recall the name of the location..McDermitt? Machine shop. Back then everyone was smoking and so a choking experience... Never thought at the time would see them run again.. but did in a park can't recall like hills of San Leandro or such and again in Los Gatos in 66 Thot since to add to experiences boarding in the early a.m. the first Richmond Shipyard train and running to be in the front seat of a single Key bridge unit...surprise.. not NY cars..Don't recall seeing units on the line after that. Also on the first fan trip to Grass Valley..not Nevada City..Francis Guido freely handed all passengers his first little Western Railroader publication.
