Thanks, George. It does not seem that long ago, but it was.

I never shot the Modoc much before it was closed to through traffic in 1987. In March 1988, I moved back to Klamath Falls. When the Modoc reopened in October, it was where I spent most of my railfanning time, until I moved to Portland in September 1989. Sure glad I did - a lot of my favorite slides were taken on the Modoc during fall 1988.
