The price of everything and the value of nothing.....

We are indeed a high tax state, as we are a high income state, and a high productivity state, and a high importing and exporting state, and we get back about 93 cents on every one dollar of Federal Gas tax and truck taxes that we send to Washington, over the last 25 years this adds up to over 25 billion dollars, or about twice what the added dime of State gas tax will generate over the next ten years.

So, if "crooked" Washington politicians hadn't "diverted" those funds to the "Bridge to Nowhere" or to a couple of dozen states that get back more Federal transportation funds than they contribute, we'd have had twenty five billion to spend on our roads in CA, over the last 25 years or so Thus, had it not been for those evil "crooked" politicians from Kansas and Alaska, who siphoned off the tax dollars we paid, we wouldn't have needed this state gas tax increase.....

So many crooks in so many places, back on planet earth, we actually use our roads, and get bac real benefits. And, the great white father (0r Great Oranged Cheeto) in Washington has not chosen to give us our share of the Federal "wampum" back to pay for our roads.....which won't likely change any time soon....as we've been a donor state since the 60's.

So how do you all feel about paying an extra 20 cents a gallon more for gasoline in order to transfer wealth from your pockets to ethanol producers pockets with no vote of anyone (not even Congress...????) that won't go to fix "our" roads? Are you okay with that example of Soviet style of "gubmint" economic policy?


Now that we are all terrified of the coming catastrophe, Halloween will soon be here and the evil scary things will come out, like Evil Thomas, and hunt down the helpless in his ghoulish desire to chase down the innocent, with his whistle screaming......and the ghost of Carl Ragosa recording the whole thing...… Blow da whistle!
