Just looked at the itemized breakdown of my property taxes, and there isn't word one about roads of any kind. There is city street lighting, city parks, mosquito abatement, fire department, BARTD, the school district, a countywide tax, etc. but nothing about roads, unless you include city streets in the City's allotment and country roads in the county's. So to refine it: nothing about state highways, and I get the impression that's what everyone here's on about, state funded highways because that's what the gas tax pays for.

I for one use state highways a fair amount, and the secondary ones, the two lane ones, were getting pretty tattered until the gas tax was raised. Then all of a sudden they started repairing them.
