Width of Bike Path along UP at Davis

I was in Roseville on business yesterday and took the Capitol Corridor back to Suisun-Fairfield so I had a chance to look at the Davis-Sacramento Bike Path next to the UP ROW. Most of it is hung off the I-80 Yolo bypass seperated by K-rail and a large fence. West of the Yolo Causeway the bike path veers away from the freeway and is next to the high speed, 79
mph double tracked CTC railroad. The closet the path comes to the eastbound mainline is around 25 to 30 feet which widens to 45 to 50 feet as the path enters Davis. Along the entire route a ditch or small creek separates the tracks from the path. I don't think the NWP-SMART Bike path has such a generous set-back as the old SP at Davis.
