I, too, wish SFS would resume operations but there are challenges (when aren't there?). SFS has to share access into town with the Railrunner which could be problematic. The depot doesn't have a lot of room to accommodate multiple trains. An Amtrak shuttle would take who knows how long to get from Lamy into SF - certainly longer than a van/bus shuttle - and then when they get to the depot the passengers will still have to transfer to a hotel shuttle. Plus SFS would have to wait for Amtrak to arrive at who knows what time and for just a handful of passengers. Doesn't sound like a winning proposition.......... when the Railrunner took over half of their route and access into town it pretty much made the operation untenable. Not sure under what scenario they could make a go of it.
