Jesus Dave d and Mouse, and everyone who hates BART: GET OVER it! The system is here to stay, there is nothing that you can do, and all of your whining by, hand wringing, complaining means nothing. The idea of BART goes back to the 1950’s, and when it was finally started, the nation was trying to do forward thinking into the 21st century. So sorry that your pitiful lives have nothing to do except complain of railroad discussion boards. So SP did not want competition in the Bay Area for freight, and magically the Indian broad gauge was adopted. Who cares? Again, shall we re-gauge the entire BART system that accommodate the complainers? The money has been spent, the system is still going forward, and please for all of us who like this board, find a life outside of your house....
