In a corporate environment, any operational information is going to be formally designated "company confidential", "privileged", or something like that, and to give it to an outsider without going through public affairs will get you escorted out of the building the same day. Naturally there'll be situations where trusted friends, neighbors, etc can get this info, but a caller out of the blue will not, period. If you think about it, you can't call down to your Albertson's or Wells Fargo branch and ask when the armored car is scheduled to show up, either.
