Don't you just love the way SMART says they can't operate more trains
due to the cost of housing? I guess it sells with the naive public.
Look, every employer in the Bay Area is dealing with this issue
as well as very tight labor markets and -- if they want to grow -- paying
higher wages. Duh.
The implication: If SMART paid operators more, they'd could recruit them and
operate more trains.
But SMART can't afford to pay higher wages for operators. Maybe this is because
of their GM's outrageous salary and pension benefits.
