Bottling air has been known to be a really bad idea for at least 120 years.
A leak is a leak
Read the air brake rules in effect when Lac Megantic happened
Set hand brakes
tug on the train
If it moves set more
repeast until the train can't be moved.
At L-M the engineer left the independent bake on, masking the insufficient hand brakes
the air bled off after the firemen shut down the locomotives
