Nashville and Amazon

Amazon announced that Nashville will be their "center of Excellence" or similar title. It is expected to have 5000 jobs. All this from the 14 Nov Business Section of the San Antonio Express News. No, it won't be a "Headquarters".

There really was no need for NY to hand over 1.5 BILLION in incentives and tax credits. Multi-billion corporations will do what the CEOs and BOD want to do, without incentives. It's just corporate welfare.

And the addition of so many new people into small and substantially 'landlocked' real estate will create massive real estate price distortions - think San Francisco and Seattle. Why would you think that is desirable?
