"They make money in spite of themselves". The industry is fine; there is no other mode of transportation that is more economically feasible. HOWEVER, if the corporations would ever pull their heads out of those dark places from time to time... I have no sympathy for any of them. Union Pacific has a history of strong arm/gestapo tactics...Roadmasters threatening the rank and file back in the 80's was common...first hand experience with that horses**t. It's like they are trained to enjoy ruining lives...that's just wrong...don't know how long I went wishing to find one of the them pricks in a dark alley with a baseball bat...hurt them as much as they hurt me.
