Coos Bay Rail on the Ground

Was talking with Rick Franklin this morning who was getting his crews staged to head out to clean up a derailment on the "new" Coos Bay Rail Line around Lakeside (OR) MP 752.

Appears seven loaded centerbeams carrying lumber are on their side and about 400 feet of track torn up. This is the Port of Coos Bay's first month of operation after ousting the previous operator as well as their first FRA reportable accident.

Hope things get better for them.
