Heisler #9, the last surviving locomotive from the Mt. Tamalpais & Muir Woods Railway, has been purchased by a Marin County (CA) group and moved from its long-time static display in Scotia, CA to an undisclosed Sonoma County location for restoration.

The group plans to display it somewhere along the former right of way, possibly in Mill Valley or at the summit of Mt. Tamalpais.
