Just canceling a few DOD corporate welfare contracts would pay for it completely. As to thenational debt, a return to proper income tax rates similar to those under Eisenhower would cover that issue in a few decades.
As to the imperfections of CAHSR design, no doubt, but the basic idea of greatly faster rail service in our state is correct. I am glad the naysayers of the Transcontinental EE were ignorred.
