first, I don't claim to be an active rail advocate. I have other responsibilities. I wish I could do more, but just don't have the time.

But to the extent I have been involved I've seen Paul, Railpac, Dennis Storey and other from RailPAC actually do something for passenger rail service.

I can't say the same about the other groups. In fact when in the case many other "rail advocates" (i.e. Bob2) it often seems that they spend their time explaining why something can't be done, instead of trying to get something done.

Perhaps I a little too optomistic, be I truly want to see more passenger rail service, not just to Santa Barbara but all over the state & USA.

As for BOB2, he gets paid at least by the Orange County Transit agency, to work for better rail transit. Instead he seems to only find problems and attack other rail advocates and organizations. That doesn't seem to be very useful.
