When is the OC sending me the checks? I'd sure like to see them? If you had been at some of the LOSSAN meetings you'd have noticed the VCTC staff and Caltrans raising the same issue? And, this is why it is important to work with your allies to achieve positive results.
I'm sorry, as a professional, that I can't make every trainfans fantasy come true by snapping my magical fingers. It takes a lot of resources to build and operate a safe and successful rail passenger system. There are a lot of other real public needs out there other than rail, like police or fire, or teachers? So you had better be able to make an effective case, based on facts, with real priorities, not wishful thinking. And, if that reality is not recognized, by so called rail advocates, then they're not going to be very successful advocates.
I am very optimistic on the future of rail passenger right now. I think it is very likely that voters will pass Prop. 1A. Then the real work for rail advocates begins, to assure a successful and thoughtful implementation of an effective rail passenger system.
