I started going to Winterail in 1996 and working at Rob Carlsons Altamont Presx booth which is where I met so many of you over the years until he died in 2006 — yes, the body odors could get pretty overwhelming in that old auditorium with poor a/c— and yes, it often seemed like an Aspbergers convention( and Rob was high performing Aspbergers as are many railfans) but the photographic multimedia presentations were — and still are thanks to Vic Neves— what makes it all magic. Just sorry our circumstances dont allow us to be there anymore.
