TAMC's wet dreams. As much as I would like to see passenger trains return to Monterey County, I don't think the numbers are there. How many people commute from Salinas, or even the peninsula, to the Bay Area? I would imagine not many.

And I see they show their light rail from Castroville to Monterey. Again, how many people commute on the buses that they have now? Several years ago I discussed the light rail plan with the AGM of Monterey Salinas Transit, the proposed operator. He said that it made no economic sense, but if TAMC paid them to run the trains, they'd be happy to do so.
