Utter nonsense. Gavin is leaning strongly to the left as is the whole Democratic Party in California and in the whole country. Why do you think Nancy Pelosi is running the show?
Figure Trump to be ousted by the summer and Pelosi back in total control of the government in 2020. The big question is whether Pelosi will be forced by a grassroots uprising to side with, shall we say, "Bernismo". Bernie might even become Prez but I think a shill like Cory Booker is more likely.
The problem the elite 1% has to deal with is that with such a huge and growing divide between the 99% masses and the tiny overclass the ever poorer lumpen become deeply alienated and disgruntled and demand real money. Not 401K's. See the Gilets Jaunes. Eventually the taxman will be directed towards the superrich and their corporations as you can only squeeze so much lucre out of the impoverished.
Bernismo if it happens is bound to cause real economic turmoil. First celebrity media euphoria at the Trump overthrow, then a sideways pause followed by correction. What does this mean for CAHSR? The Party is consolidating its power in Cali and when things go south will dig in its heels no matter what. Anti-recession infrastructure spending aka contractor welfare. Pelosi will direct federal funds to base tunnels both at Pacheco and Palmdale and to more Bechtel gauge under the Bay. Literally who is gonna stop them? All the business interests must payola the Party if they want to operate here.
As per Lord Acton an all-powerful Party becomes a kind of California Camorra.
