17:44 is 50 minutes after sunset, a tad on the late side for a big twilight "space jellyfish" display, but probably still visible.

The SpaceX booster that launched last year (December 22nd 2017, 31 minutes after sunset) produced an impressive plume that triggered numerous UFO reports. One of this year's launches (October 7th 2018, 44 minutes after sunset) was also easily visible from just about anywhere along the coast. I watched it from my front porch in the Bay Area. Be sure to look in the direction of Lompoc on Wednesday at 17:44!
